Korean Glazed Chicken Drumsticks

A gooey glaze you can put on chicken drumsticks, thighs, wings, or breasts. You can use this glaze for the oven or on the grill.



Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce

  • 1/2 cup rice vinegar

  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar

  • 6 cloves garlic minced

  • 1 fresh ginger finely grated

  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

  • 8 chicken drumsticks

  • Sliced green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Directions:

  • Preheat an oven to 375 degrees.

  • In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, whisk together the sesame oil, cornstarch, soy sauce, chili sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes.

  • As sauce heats, continue to whisk until sauce thickens. Turn heat off, set aside.

  • Place drumsticks on a 9x13 pan lined with parchment paper, brush drumsticks with half of the sauce.

  • Bake in the 375 degree oven for about 45 minutes. Coat drumsticks with remaining sauce half way through baking.

  • Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds
