Easy Lemon Blueberry Scones

These are the easiest scones you will ever make. Even better, you can add any fruit to the base and be impressed each, and every time!




Scones:

2 ¼ cups Bisquick

⅓ cup sugar

1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries

¾ cup buttermilk

Juice from half a lemon

Zest from 1 lemon


Glaze:

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1-2 Tbsp milk

Juice from half a lemon


Directions:


Preheat oven to 450 F

Line baking tray with parchment paper, set aside.


In medium bowl mix together all scone ingredients except for blueberries, until incorporated, do not over work. Fold in blueberries, making sure they are evenly distributed. Scoop onto to baking tray. I make nine with my scoop, however, if your scoop is smaller you might get 12 in total.


Bake in oven for 10-12 minutes.


While scones are baking make glaze. Stir all glaze ingredients in small bowl, I like my glaze a little thicker so I use less milk. You decide on the consistency you prefer.
